SUPREME COURT.

SESSIONS OPEN TO-MORROW.

The quarterly sessions of the Supreme Court at New Plymouth will commence to-morrow morning, His Honor Mr. Justice Reed presiding. The criminal list is somewhat bigger than usual, as there are six cases set down fjor consideration. Four of these are prisoners who come up for sentence, the offences including forging and uttering at Hawera, false pretences at Inglewood, theft of postal packet at Hawera, attempted burglary at Eltham. There are two cases of alleged sexual offences for trial.

The civil list is a comparatively light one and there are two divorce eases set down for hearing. Under the heading of bankruptcy there are four motions for discharge, including one creditors’ petition.
