The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 3rd instant:—Wool: There was a good attendance at the opening of the sales to-day, competition by Continental buyers being active. The opening catalogues were fairly representative, and prices, compared with preceding series, ruled: —Greasy merino 5 to 10 per cent.; greasy crossbred, coarse and medium, par to 5 per cent, higher; fine greasy crossbred, and scoured merino unohana**
