Hara) declared that the Government was determined to make efforts for the continuation and promotion of the national rights and interests of Japan, whose responsibilities internationally were increasingly weighty with the advancement of its world position. M. Hara added: •‘Japan is convinced that all the nations in the world desire a lasting peace, and she therefore will earnestly endeavor to deal with foreign Powers in all matters in a spirit of candour. There will be no change in the Government’s policy or principles in dealing with any foreign country on any problem.”—Aus. and N/Z. Cable Assn.
