Further census returns for Taranaki are available. The postmaster ati .Stratford last night supplied the fob lowing returns:— Kaponga town district.—Males 2011 females 109, total 400. Eltham County.—Males 1732, 1394, total 3126. The riding details for the Eltham County are as Kaponga riding.—Males .347, 254, total 601.
Mangatoki riding.—Males 643, female# 537, total 1180. 4 South riding.—Males 271, females 214tJ total 485. Eltham riding.—Males 378, femaleu 343, total 721. 1 \ Omona riding.—Males 9.3, females total 139. PALMERSTON NORTH. , The population of Palmerston North, is 15,648, an increase of 2819 on that 5 recorded at the last census. NAPIER. A telegram from Napier says the., population of Napier Borough is nowr 14.370, of whom 6900 are males and} 7430 females. The 1916 figures werek 5867 males and 6823 females, a total ofic 12,690.
