London, May 2. Mr. Farrell, ex-Lord Mayor of Dublin, states that he is submitting to the Dail Eireann the “biggest offer ever made from any British Government,” which was semi-officially communicated to him during his visit to London.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
REBEL TO BE SHOT.
London, May 2. Patrick Casey was captured during an ambush at Michelstown yesterday. He was seen to fire his rifle at an officer, but missed. Casey then put up his hands. He was tried by courtmartial and sentenced to be shot. The sentence was confirmed and will be carried out at six o’clock to-day.
