STRIKE IN SILESIA.
MINES MAY BE BLOWN UP.

A telegram from Beutheu.au important woollen and earthenwarp manufacturing centre in the midst of the mining district in Prussian Silesia, reports that a strike has occurred among the miners. The latter, who are mainly Poles, are excited over rumors that the German mine-owners intend tor blow up the mines in Pless, Rybnik and Kattowitz. The strike is regarded as a preliminary measure of the Polish occupation of Upper Silesia.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable
