WOOL DISPOSAL.

IMPERIAL PURCHASE ADVOCATED.

By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Gisborne, May 2. The Farmers’ Union passed a resolution urging that the Imperial authorities be requested to purchase this year’s clip at 50 per cent, less than the commandeer prices, that they should pool it with the balance of commandeer wool in hand, and dispose of the total at a mean average price for the two elips. It was urged that if this was done it would probably save a loss on the 740,000 bales of commandeer wool in hand, stabilse the market, and safeguard the eight millions of surplus profits.
