WEDDING.

WALLS—LE ALAND.

A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Mary’s Church on the 28 ult., when James, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walls, of Nelson, and Mona Lillian, eldest daughter of Mrs. .Lealand and the late Mr. Percy Lealand, were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony. The Rev. Harvie officiated. The bride, who was given away by her cousin, Mr. Cyril Lealand, looked very pretty in a white georgette dress with panels of oriental satin beautifully trimmed with silver braid and lace. She carried a lovely bouquet of white chrysanthemums and maiden hair fern, with a silver horseshoe suspended on a streamer of white ribbon. Her veil was held in place by a coronet of silver lace completing a charming toilette. She was attended by one bridesmaid, her sister, Miss Florence M. Lealand, who wore a dainty dress of grey georgette over white satin, prettily trimmed with lemon georgette and gold braid, and a smart hat of grey satin with a lemon feather. She carried a lovely bouquet of yellow and white chrysanthemums and maiden hair fern with traces of asparagus fern. The duties of be&t man were efficiently carried out by Mr. A. Adam. After the ceremeony the guests were entertained by the bride’s mother at the Forresters’ Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Walls left by train en route for the South Island, where the honeymoon is to be spent, the bride wearing a smart nigger brown costume, with a fawn and nigger brown toque to match.
