DEATHS FROM SMALLPOX.

WAGES AT MOUNT MORGAN.
Brisbane, May 2. A mass meeting of the Mount Morgan miners decided not to accept the company’s offer of a 20 per cent, reduction in wages, which the president of the Arbitration Court advised them to accept.
PRICE OF WHEAT UNALTERED.
Sydney, May 2.
The Wheat Board considered the suggestions to vary the price of wheat for local consumption, but decided that the contract under which the price was fixed at 9s a bushel shall remain in operation till the end of the year.
