SOME TRANSFERS ANNOUNCED.
A TARANAKI CHANGE
Consequent on the appointment of Mr, V. G. Day, S.M., as President of the Assessment Court and the appointment of Air. J. C. L. Hewitt as Resident Commissioner at the Cook Islands, it has been necessary to rearrange the districts of several of the stipendiary magistrates, and the Minister of Justice (the Hon. E. P. Lee) announced on Saturday the following transfers:-~-Afr. Wyvern Wilson, from Wanganui to North Canterbury. Air. T. A. B. Bailey, from New Plymouth to Wanganui. \ I Air. C. R. O. Walker, from Greymouth
to New Plymouth. Mr. H. W. Bundle, a newly-appointed magistrate, is to be stationed at Greymouth. Mr. R. Al. Watson is to take the Taihape district, formerly in charge of Mr. Hewitt, S.M. Air. E. AV. Burton, now at Te Kuiti, will take country courts south of Auckland, at present taken by Mr*Watson. Mr. F. AV. Platts will take the Te Kuiti district.
