PORT PIRIE SAILS.

The Port Plrie, which had been in port since Friday, April 22, discharging cargo and taking in a quantity of Homeward cargo, sailed for Port Chalmers on Saturday morning. She will be dry-docked at Port Chalmers and will subsequently load in New Z.aland ports for the United Kingdom.

THE RARAWA.

The Rarawa is expected to arrive from Onehunga at 5.30 o’clock to-morrow morning with passengers and cargo. She will sail on the return trip at 8.20 p.m.

PORT HACKING ARRIVES.

The liner Port Hacking anchored about 8 a.m. on Saturday, and berthed at 10.30, after the Port Pirle had left the wharf. Both these vessels belong to the C. and D. Line, which is the Australasian service of the Cunard Line. The Port Hacking was formerly named the Mimlro, being then owned by the German Tyser Line. She completed discharge of English cargo at Dunedin recently and commenced loading at Nelson. From there she went to the Wanganui roadstead and was loading on Thursday and Friday, but will have to return for the balance of* the consignment from that port. She came to New Plymouth to berth immediately on the departure of the Port Pirle in order that the berth might be cleared again for other liners which are coming later in the month. ''

Loading was commenced at 1 o’clock on Saturday afternoon, and is expected to be completed by next Thursday, when the vessel goes to complete her Wanganui loading and thence to Wellington, which will be her final port. Her destination Is London, via the Panama Canal. The cargo to be loaded at New Plymouth consists of 15,000 freight carcases of frozen meat (9000 from Smart Road and 6000 from Waitara), 20,000 boxes of butter, and 5000 crates of cheese.

When the Port Hacking was berthed by Captain Waller (harbormaster), her mean draught was 18ft. 9in. Her length is 440 ft., and gross tonnage 6225 tons. Captain A. Jolly is in command, and has with him the following officers: Chief officer, Mr. T. Kippans, D.S.C., R.N.R.: second, Mr. T. G. Hadlow; third, Mr. J. M. Higgs; fourth, Mr. P. F. Andrews; cadets, Messrs. G. Marsh and 'H. Hearn; chief engineer, Mr. D. Webster; second, Mr. E. .1. King; Mr. W. J. Sheehan; fifth, Mr. H. S. Colburn; chief refrigerating engineer, Mr. A. J. Tait; second, Mr. A. G. Shank; purser, Mr. G. R. Daker.

FLORA FROM SOUTH.

The Flora (U.S.S. Co.) arrived on Saturday morning with a large cargo (1360 tons)* from Lyttelton and Wellington, including some transhipments from the latter port. She ’commenced discharging on Saturday morning, and is .expected to leave this evening for Wellington, Picton, Onehunga and Lyttelton.

CORINNA DUE TO-MORROW.

The U.S.S. Co. advise that the Corinna left Timaru on Friday night for Nelson and New Plymouth, and should arrive here to discharge to-morrow. Her cargo will be about 800 tons.

CITY OF WINCHESTER.

The steamer City of Winchester arrived at Auckland at 10.30 o’clock on Friday night from New York, via Panama. The local agents, the Federal Line, advise that the vessel should reach Wellington about next Friday. She is due at New Plymouth later.

PESHAW'UR FROM LONDON.

Cable advice has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the steamer Peshawur left London on April 25, cargoladen for New Zealand via Panama. She is due in the Dominion about June 18.

WOODARRA AT COLON

According to cable advice received by the New Zealand Shipping Company, the steamer Woodarra. arrived at Colon on April 26 bound from London to New Zealand.

DORSET LEFT NEWPORT NEW'S.

The New Zealand Shipping Company have been notified by cable that the Dorset left Newport News on April 26, en route from Wellington bound for London.
