N.S.W. CHAMPIONSHIPS.
By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright Received May 1, 5.5 pjm. Sydney, May 1. In the tennis championships Hawkes injured himself, necessitating forfeiting in the singles and mixed doubles. The .injury was not serious. In the singles championship Patterson won from Hawkes by default, and in the doubles championship Patterson and Thomas beat Todd and Peach 6—l, 10—8, 6—4. The mixed doubles championship was won by Todd and Mrs. Fuller from Hawkes and Mrs. Molesworth by default.
THE DAVIS CUP.
Received May 1, 5.5 p.m. New York, April 30. It is announced that Czecho-Slavia and Belgium play* their Davis Cup fixture at Prague.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
AUSTRALIAN CUP TEAM. • i Sydney, April 30. Brookes, after watching the play in the State tennis championship now in progress, selected J. O. Andersoh, J. B. Hawkes and N. Peach to represent Australasia in the Davis Cup team, which sails for Canada early in June.
