FORESTRY.
PROPOSED UNIVERSITY TRAINING. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, April 23. The report of the inter-departmental Committee of Imperial Forestry Education recommends forestry officers, in favor of which the British Empire Forestry conference passed a resolution, should be located at Oxford and incorporated with the University. The Governments of the United Kingdom, India, the colonies and protectorates should jointly guarantee the sum sufficient for normal requirements. It is anticipated that the annual cost will be lessened by the Dominion Governments sending probationers for special courses in research. The capital cost cannot be z estimated, but the annual cost of the permanent staff should not exceed £4OOO.
