NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. A medal handicap was played on the New Plymouth Club’s links on Saturday afternoon, ijhe following were the best cards returned J? A. Crapper winning with a net 77: J. A. Monteath 115—24 —91 Lady members of the New Plymouth Club are reminded of the flag match to be played to-morrow for a prize presented by Mrs. Butcher. Players will choose their own partners. WAITARA CLUB. Our Waltara correspondent writes: The meeting called for Wednesday last to consider the re-formation of the old Manukorlhi Golf Club was well attended by enthusiasts of this popular game. Mr. S. G. Fraser occupied the chair. It was considered that there were now sufficient enthusiasts to put the club on an active footing again, and the following officers wefe elected: —President, Mj- 8. G. Fraser; vice-presidents, Dr, Campbell and Mr. S. Wyllie; secretary, Mr. A. E. Jago; treasurer, Mr. C. H. Tate; committee, Messrs. Gaw, M. Fowler, and Hayhurst, with officers ex officio; club captain, Mr. W. B. Glasgow, It was decided to play on the old recreation grounds, which are to be prepared imme : d lately. The subscription was fixed at one guinea for men, 10s 6d for women and boys, and 5s for girls. The erection of a pavilion will be considered when the club is established. STRATFORD CLUB. On account of the heavy rain which fell in Stratford early on Saturday afternoon, the opening of the Golf Club’s season, which was ari'mged for that day, was postponed until next Saturday.
