ATHLETICS.
AUROA SPORTS. Nominations in connection with the Auroa sports close with the secretary (Mr. C. A. Burke, Kaupokonui), to-morrow night. Auroa has always run good sports; in act, it is doubtful if their management is excelled by that of any of the bigger athletic meetings. The events start punctually, and at 4 p.m. the last event is off. This is the result of having experienced and capable officials, so that, those who desire to have a good day’s outing should not miss this fixture on Wednesday. The handicaps will appear in the News on Tuesday.
