They are disappointed there are no test fixtures. They had expected to play England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable BANNER FINALS. THE DRAW. At a meeting of the Taranaki Bowling Centre held yesterday afternoon the question of playing the banner finals was discussed, and tl:e draw resulted as follows: —Matches to be played on the Eltham green, on Saturday next, April 23, Hawera (winners of southern division) meeting Fitzroy (northern) in the morning, commencing at 9.30, six rinks to be played; winners to play Manaia (winners of ■western division) in the afternoon, commencing at 1.45 (four rinks). Games will be of twenty-one heads. PATEA v. MANAIA. The match between, Patea and Manaia was played cn the Manaia green on Saturday. There were four rinks in each team, and a splendid day’s bowling eventuated, and Patea won by 34 points. The following are the scores, Patea being mentioned first: — F. W. Williams, Sheehan, Patterson, Elliott (s) 29; v. Smith, Hair, Hotter, Armitage (s) 20. McDougall, Cronin, McKenna, A. Christensen (s) 20; v. E. Putt, N. Innes, E. Beth, A. H. Christie (s) 21.
