A FIRE IN SYDNEY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, Sydney, April 15. A fire in Robson House in the city, in which several firms of clothing manufacturers are located, caused damage estimated at £15,000. THE COST OF LIVING. Melbourne, April 15. The report of the Basie Wage Commission, exhaustively dealing with the cost of living, shows that the inclusive cost in Melbourne in 1914 was £3 7s 9d, while in 1920 it was £5 16s 6d. In Sydney in 1920 the cost was £5 17. s Id, in Brisbane £5 6s 2d, in Adelaide l6s Id, m Perth £5 13s lid, and in Hobart .£5 16s lid. SOLOMON ISLAND MISSION. Sydney, April 16. The annual meeting of the Australasian Board of Missions decided to take steps to arrange ( the necessary details for the transfer of the Solomon Islands Mission to New Zealand £t the conference in 1922. It also expressed regret that the Solomon Mission was passing from its charge and the New Zealand Methodist Conference ceasing to be associated with the church in Australian missionary work.—Aus.-N.Z.
