NEW WORLD’S CONTEST. INSTITUTION BY AMERICA. The New Zealand Golf Association has received particulars of an international golf championship, instituted by America, on lines somewhat similar to the Davis Cup competitions. New Zea-' land has been invited to take part in the first competition for a trophy presented by a former president, Mr. George H. Walker. The competition will be played in the first week in September. Invitations have also been sent to Britain, Canada, British South Africa, India, Sweden, Norway, France, Belgium, and Spain. The teams are to consist of four , players.
