An interesting trial of motor trucks took place recently on the Main South Road, when at the instance of the Kahotu Dairy Co., a 4-ton Leyland and a 3iton White truck were loaded with approximately five tons of cheese each. In the case of the White this represented a 43 per cent, overload, and in the Leyland a 25 per cent, overload. On each truck rode a director of the R ahotu Dairy Co., who also supervised the complete emptying of oil and J?®’ l ? l ?®’ ®" b remeasuring a certain quantity mt truck, and at the end of the trial these gentlemen supervised the quantities taken out from the trucks. The official result of the trial is shown over the leader. *
