The Northern Steam Ship Company advise that the Rarawa has been held up at the Manukau bar and will not now arrive fcere until to-morrow morning. She will sail again for Onehunga at 4 p.m. to-morrow.
NGATORO ARRIVES. The Ngatoro arrived from Wellington early yesterday morning with about. 500 tons of general cargo. After leaving Wellington on Saturday evening the Ngatoro had to contend with a heavy north-west gale and a long, rough voyage was experienced. HUIA TO-DAY. Advice has been received that the Huia is expected to reach New Plymouth to-day with a cargo of case oil and general merchandise from Wellington. The vessel left the southern port at 9.45 a.m. yesterday. After discharging here the vessel proceeds to Wanganui. WEATHER DELAYS YSABEL. It is understood that the Ysabel’s sailing from Wellington for, New Plymouth has been delayed pending an improvement in the weather. CORINNA FROM SOUTH. The Union Company advise that the Corinna was expected to leave Dunedin at midnight last night for New Plymouth via Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton and Nelson witfc general cargo for this port. She is expected to arrive here on Sunday. OPAWA LEFT COLON. The New Zealand Shipping Company have received cable advice that the liner Opawa arrived at Panama on the 6th inst. from Lyttelton and left Colon on the same day for London. PAPAROA AT SOUTHAMPTON. Cable advice has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that their liner Paparoa arrived at Southampton on the Bth inst. from Wellington via. Panama. The vessel left Wellington on February 16. MANUKA FROM SYDNEY. Cable advice was received on Saturday by the Union Company that the Manuka left
Sydney at 2 p.m. on Friday for Wellington direct with 360 passengers. MANUKA ARRIVES WEDNESDAY. According to a radio (message received at Wellington on Sunday afternoon from the Manuka the vessel will arrive in the stream at 7 a.m. to-morrow morning. She will be boarded In the anchorage by the port health officer and Customs officials, and if granted pratique the vessel will berth about two hours later. PORT PIRIE AT AUCKLAND. The Port Pirie arrived at Auckland from London, via Panama on Friday. She left London oh March 1 and experienced fairly heavy weather for the first week, thence fine weather till arrival at Colon on March 16. She cleared the Canal tte following day, meerting with favorable conditions for the remainder of the voyage. The Port Pirie brought a number of passengers and 5300 tons of cargo for the Dominion, of which 1500 tons are for Auckland. She averaged over 12 knots on the trip, which was completed in the fast time of 37 days. The vessel is the first of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line to come to Auckland direct from London via Panama, these vessels previously having come via Capetown and Australian ports. From Auckland the Port Pirie will proceed to Wellington and New Plymouth, and will .subsequently load in New Zealand for the United Kingdom. Captain W. Mason is in command. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
