FRANCE DEMANDS EXPLANATION. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received April 10, 5.5 p.m. Berlin, April 8. Acting on the Inter-Allied Commission’s authority, a French police officer and four men at Gledwitz sought to arrest Captain von Demming, charged with provoking anti-Polish and anti-French agitatiops. Von Demming shot three polieemen dead and seriously wounded the officer. France is demanding an explanation and reparation.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
