CORRESPONDENCE.
MR. O'DEA’S WAR SERVICB. (To the Editor.) Sir.—l have been waiting with some curfoxt ity to see Mr. O’Dea’s reply to your correspondent, particularly with regard to tifo service Mr. O’Dea rendered his King and country during the recent great war, but so far he has been silent. Is It that fce deems discretion to be the better part of valor? I have never heard that he served as the la’e Lieut. Col. Malone and Lieut. Spence, or aJ Lieut. Col. Weston and Lieut. Standish dltf. I have never heard that He offered to do even Home Service. It would seem that ha stayed at home—and did well. Mr. O’Daa should clear this matter up. It may be that I am ‘doing him a wrong. He may havd offered his*services, but, with characteristic modesty, did it In such a way that no on< has any knowledge of it.—l am etc., STILL WAITING New Plymouth, April 7. 1921.
