Ten thousand jute workers in Calcutta have struck because the management have refused to dismiss a man who disapproved of the workers’ propaganda. Gandhi, the non-co-operation leader, has issued 1. manifesto approving of a week of mourning, including two fasting days and special prayers accompanied by efforts to stagnate business throughout India, with tllie view of securing the redress of the alleged Khalifat and Punjaub wrongs.
