Tin.—£ls4 2s 6d and £157 ss. Silver.—33 l-8d per ounce. TRADE IN THE PACIFIC. Received April 5, 7.55 p.m. Suva, April 5. The first annua! meeting of the Burns, Philp South Sea Company, Ltd., was held at the head office at Suva to-day. The report and balance-sheet, which were adopted, showed a nett profit of £102,845. A dividend of ten per cent, on the paid-up capital of £750.000 was declared, and £20,000 was carried to reserve The report showed that the company was strongly established throughout the Pacific.—Aus. and N.Z.
