The Labor conference resolved that the chief secretary be ordered immediately to appoint a woman justice of the peace. It also decided that the interstate executive prosecute a world-wide campaign for disarmament by getting into touch with all pacificist groups in other countries in order to devise common action for the total abolition cf military preparation.—Aus.-N.Z.
