SINN FEIN FIRE PLOTS.
ATTEMPT TO DESTROY HOTELS. FAILURE AT MANCHESTER. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received April 3, 11.5 p.m. London, April 3. Sinn Feiners in Manchester attempted tcP set fire to three hotels in which they booked rooms, and also to a cafe and two warehouses, by overpowering the caretakers and cleaners in the early morning and then sprinkling oil on the premises. All t'he fires were extinguished, little damage being done. A constable was shot and seriously wounded while endeavoring to arrest the incendiarists. — Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
