SOUTHERN ELECTIONS. SINN FEIN INTENTIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. London, April \ De Valera, interviewed in Ireland, said the Dail Eireann would not place a ban on the elections for a southern Parliament. Sinn Feiners intended to contest every constituency, and were confident that the people, realising the .importance of the issues, would elect only Republicans, outside the six Ulster counties, and would also strive to capture as many seats as possible in Ulster. Mr. Lloyd George could have a peace of conciliation, based on right and justice, at any time. Any clashing of the national rights of England and Ireland was adjustable by means of the negotiation of a treaty, but he would never admit England’s right to dictate alliances or partnerships only suiting England. Mr. Lloyd George had never shown willingness to treat the problem in the only way tending to a settlement, as a question between moral equals.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
