“The Man Who Lost Himself” is a special Selznick masterpiece. It is described as a mystery comedy-drama with setting in London. It concerns the adventures of an American who goes to sleep one night as plain Yictor Jones of Philadelphia and a*wakens next morning as the Earl of Rochester with a houseful of ornate servants and disagreeable relatives, a beautiful wife from whom he is supposed to be estranged and a reputation, that makes him one of the most shunned men in the English polite society. Poor Jones has an equally hard time living up to the title of trying to get away from it and, his numerous odd adventures, are said to constitute one of the most remarkable comedy-dramas ever presented on the screen and a production fully worthy of Mr. Faversham’s talents. The bill includes conclusion of “Tih Minh” and opening of Bill Duncan in “Smashing Barriers.” The matinee to-day commences at 2 p.m.
