The Maori miracle man, Ratana, visited Morrinsville, and held a korero with the natives there during Easter time, when he treated 500 cases, and claims to have had a success in every one. Among the interested visitors was Wiremu Henare Toka, of Batley, who, on behalf of the Ngatiwhatua tribe, invited Ratana to visit his distict. It was arranged that Ratana should visit the Ngatiwhatua tribe not later than May, travelling up the Kaipara line from Auckland and hold jpg meetings at Rewhiti, Batley and Dargaville. In order to give the Ngapuhi, Rarawa, and Aupouri tribes the opportunity of benefiting by Ratana s ministrations, Mr. Henare Toka is. inviting applications from them for visits from ,the healer, and, according to the number of requests received, by the end of April a route for Ratana’s northern tour among the tribes will be decided on. He will return to Auckland via Whangajfrei.
