FOUND DEAD IN BED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hastings, April 1. Joseph Paul Raynie, aged 65, was found dead in bed in his whare last night. He was a Frenchman or Belbian, and lived alone. A neighbor grew anxious and looked in at the window and saw him lying in bed. Apparently he died in his sleep.

FATAL FALL FROM TRAM-CAR.

Wellington, April 1. At the inquest regarding the death of Mrs. Daisy Maud Mountford, who died from injuries received by a fall or jump from a tram-car, the coroner said it had not been shown clearly how she met her, death and he returned a verdict that she died of injuries received Jhrough being accidentally run over by a tram-car. Ample evidence had been given that expedition was shown by the tramway officials in extricating the woman from underneath the car.
