WOOL DISPOSAL.
IMPORTANT PROPOSALS. % NEGOTIATIONS WITH BRITAIN. THE REALISATION 'SCHEME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The wool brokers’ representatives made the following recommendations to the Producers’ Conference:— (1) That all Dominion sales he post* poned for a period mot exceeding two months to enable negotiations to be undertaken. (2) That the .New Zealand Government prohibit sales of wool during that period. (3) That negotiations be undertaker/ with the British Government, the Bri-tish-Australian Wool Realisation Association, and the Wool Importers’ Association, London, to provide for a limitation of offerings in England and Australasia to correspond with the monthly consumptive demand (4) That the allocation of wool offered be in proportion to stocks held. (5) That minimum reserves be placed on all wool so offeriM on a parity basis, such to be agreed on by the bodies above mentioned.
(fl) That efforts be continued to secure representation on the British,-Aus-tralian Wool Realisation Association with full power, but failing that, the as offered be accepted, leaving Mr. Massey to endeavor to correct the matter on his arrival.
(7) That a representative with full Government recognition be sent to Melbourne forthwith to confer with the Bri-tish-Australasian Wool Realisation Association on the foregoing lines. The recommendations were adopted.
A resolution was passed that the conference wishes to affirm the principle that Mr. Massey while in England given an absolutely free hand to deal with the question of wool profits by the Imperial Government on account of producers, without the necessity of further reference of the matter back to New Zealand. ‘
