TENNIS SENSATION.

THE ARREST OF MRS. LOWE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright London, March 22. A sensation was caused in the Riviera by the arrest of Airs. Gordon Lowe, who was arrested at the Cannes tennis courts and charged with stealing a pocket-book said to contain 5000 francs. She is a popular figure at Cannes and Nice, dresses lavishly and entertains sumptuously. The Daily v Mail correspondent says the arrest was the result of police vigilance. A great number of pocket-books had been disappearing. Mr. Lowe, her husband, interviewed her at the police station, after which she was examined in the presence of her counsel. She was then admitted to bail in 50.000 francs, and will appear in court on April 5.
