Tire gate returns in 1911-12 were £9OOO, and in the late tour £24,000. OLD CRICKETER'S DEATH. Sydney, March 22. . The death is recorded, at Young, of George Thomson, sole survivor of the first test match in 1862. A DISPUTE SETTLED. By TelearuDh.-—Press Association Wellington, March 22. The dispute between the Cricket Council and the Wellington Association relative to the test match has been satisfactorily settled. The charges will be the same as those which ruled at the Wellington match. Both the council and the association wish to remove the misapprehension that there was any suspicion of ill-feeling over the matter. The council cheerfully recognises the association’s wider knowledge of local conditions. A AN EASTER TOUR. A team of South Taranaki cricketers are making a tour at Easter. On Saturday they will play Vatea and Waverley combined at Patea,?and on Monday will play a Wanganui team at Wanganui. NO COMPETITION MATCHES. No competition matches are to be played this week.
