In tie Theatre Royal last evening in a professional 15-round bout, Bill Senior (Westport) 10.10, v. Denny Murphy (New Zealand welter champion, Wellington) 10.6, Murphy went down in the second round and claimed a foul, taking the count. After he was medically examined by two doctors the decision was awarded to Senior. At a meeting of the committee of the Westport Boxing Association, after a further medical report, the committee decided to allow Murphy no part of tne purse or expenses and to disqualify -him for two years.
