LABOR LEGISLATION.

EXAMPLE OT NEW . SOUTH WALES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright London, March 17. Mr. Storey (Premier of New South Wales} addressed 100 members of both Houses at the House of Commons today. His subjects were White Australia, proportional representation, Government housing plans, compulsory fair rents and the nationalisation of industries. Tie spoke three-quarters of an hour. The proceedings were private. Mr. Storey, speaking at a luncheon at the Colonial Institute, said the only way to obtain reforms was to educate the people up to their justice. He had been amazed by what he had already seen at the seat of Empire. He represented a party who knew where they stood from the standpoint of Empire, and had striven to convince Labor leaders in England that sane methods were the only ones with a chance of succeeding. Arbitration might not be successful in all cases, but it prevented some strikes and was a better method than perpetual round-table conferences, which merely provided jobs for a few Laborites Who otherwise would be driven back to work.
