SCENE IN THE COMMONS. London, March 17. There were disorderly scenes in the House of Commons when Sir Tlamar Greenwood, Chief Secretary, appeared with a sprig of shamrock in his buttonhole. Mr. Kenworthy shouted: “Why are yon wearing the shamrock?” Air. MacVeigh cried, “Take out that shamrock; it’s an insult to Ireland.” Sir Hamar Greenwood replied that he hoped the beneficent influence of the great saint would permeate Ireland. Disorder continued, through a member’s refusal to withdraw an insulting expression directed against Sir H. Greenwood. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable AssjuMORE CONSTABLES SHOT. London, March 17. Armed incendiaries set fire and completely destroyed Richill station in Armagh The night train was held up and the mails stolen. Dublin Castle reports that armed men shot Constable Reynolds dead at Clifton, Galway, and during a subsequent search John MacDonald was shot dead while evading arrest. A police patrol was attacked at Ballymoto, and one constable' was killed. William Kennedy, a merchant, was shot dead outside Borris, Carlow County.
