REPATRIATION.

NEW PLYMOUTH COMMITTEE. A meeting of the New Plymouth Repatriation Committee was held yesterday afternoon. Present: Alessrs. C. H. Weston (chairman), W. J. Chaney, T. Furlong, F. Hartpell, H. R. Cattley and the secretary (Air. A. S. Allen). The secretary reported that three loans totalling £4OO had been repaid. Four loans of £75 each for the purchase of furniture authorised by the executive were confirmed. An application for a business loan of £>l4o was recommended for approval. The payment of two retained training subsidies was authorised. Two applications, one to start in a new business and one to acquire a motor car, were refused. Three furniture loans of £75 were granted.
