OFFICIAL DECLARATION. From enquiries made by a Daily News reporter last night it was gathered that the price of bread has already been raised in Auckland and Wellington, but that the increased price has not yetj taken effect in Taranaki. However, a New Plymouth baker expressed the opin< ion that the increase would become gem eral shortly. No action has yet beep decided upon in regard to the small goods trade, and it is not yet knowp y how the increase in the price of flour will affect that trade.
