PARLIAMENT.

YESTERDAY’S SITTING. the legislative council. MORATORIUM EXTENSION. f By Telegraph—Press Association. $ Wellington, Last Night. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Mortgagee Extension Amendment Bill was put through its final stages and passed, Sir Francis Bell giving a warning that this would be the final extension. He would not say that when Parliament next met further discretion might not be given to tbe Supreme Court in the matter of an extension in special eases. The law, as set forth in the present Bill, extended the provisions of the principal Act to December 31, 1921, and fixed December 31, 1922, as the latest date to which an extension may be granted by the Court in special cases. The Council rose at 2-53 p.m.
