ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A SUDDEN DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Whakatane, Last Night. A series of tragic happenings at the Whakatane electric scheme headworks was added to this afternoon by the sudden death of Walter Austin, aged 50, a married man. He was seen to collapse suddenly, and died en route to the hospital at Whakatane. Deceased was twice passed in France, where he was a ser-<eant-major in the Tunnelling Corps.
