AMERICAN FLEET.

CRUISE IN THE PACIFIC. A VISIT TO AUCKLAND. By Jeiegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. An American fleet is to visit Auckland again. An announcement to this effect is contained in a letter received by the American Consul-General at Auckland (Mr. A. A. Winslow). The letter, which is dated from the flagship of the Pacific squadron, the New Mexico, says the Navy Department contemplates sending eight battleships, twenty destroyers, nine supply ships and tenders on a cruise to Australia and the South Sea Islands during the months of July, August and September of this year, making a stop at Auckland.
