ENTERTAINMENTS.
LONDON GAIETY PLAYERS. Mr. W. Lints and his bright entertainers tne London Gaiety Players, again delighted a large audience at the Empire Theatre last night, their bright dancing, music and singing eliciting unstinted applause. Each item was re-en-cored, and in some cases the audience was not satisfied until a recall had been doubly responded to. From the opening to the close there is not a dull moment, the whole programme going with a swing, bright items following each other with remarkable quickness. The costuming and the lighting are very attractive features of the entertainment, and it is questionable if the costuming has ever been excelled here. The costume ballets and choruses, led by Miss Dora Cooper, the national dances by I Miss Daisy McLelland, and the marveli lows acrobatic dances, by Miss Dorothy White, and Mr. W. Lints, all captivated the audience, whilst the solos and duets by Miss Stone and Mr. Leyton met with popular favor, as did the humorous monologue by Miss Beeban McDonald. Mr. W. Lints also gave some , fine turns, including his work on the blackboard, where he appeared equally at home when writing with either hand and backwards. In the second half he gave a humorous conjuring act, with song and dance. Mr. Kirk was an able accompanist. The Gaiety Players will appear again to-night, and their change of programme should draw a crowded house.
