BILL PROPOSES EXTENSION. (By Wire —Parliamentary Reporter) Wellington, Last Night. A Bill amending the Mortgages Extension Act was introduced in the Legislative Council to-day. It extends from June 30 next to December 31 next the general protection accorded to mortgages under the existing moratorium law, and it makes December 31, 1922, the latest date tc which a Judge of the Supreme Court may extend the term of any mortgage in connection with which application is made to the Court. This provision if intended, to apply to special cases ol hardship.
