"MOST IMPORTANT EVER HELD.” PREMIER’S BRIEF STATEMENT By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, J>ast Night. At the suggestion of Mr. E. Newman (Manawatu), Mr. Massey made a brief statement in the House of Representatives this afternoon as to why.he considered it necessary to go to London to attend the Imperial Conference, the main points of which have already appeared in the Press. Mr. Massey said he looked upon the coming conference as the most important ever held in the history of the Empire, and if Parliament decidea he should go he would* on this occasion, as at former conferences, represent the Dominion to the best of his ability.
