ATHLETICS.
MEETING AT MANAIA. Elsewhere is printed the sports programme of the Manaia Hibernian Sports Club, which is holding a meeting on the local picturesque Domain on Saturday, April 9. A splendid programme has been arranged and £lOO cash and £lOO trophies is offered as prize money. Jn all there are ten events, which should appeal to the athletes of the province, as well as to the public who love pedestrian races. But there are more than these. There are horse and field events, open dancing competition, and a seven-aside football tournament. Evidently the sports club Is out to unake a big day of it, and deserve success in their efforts.
