ACKLAND ROAD. SCHOOL PICNIC AND SPORTS. The annual picnic of the Ackland School, which was held on Thursday, was attended by a large number of settlers from all parts of tte district, the function being the beat that has been held in recent years. Mr. R. Masters, M.P., and Mr. P. White (chairman of the Education Board) had in turn been incited to present the school prizes, but neither was able to attend, and this duty fell upon the Rev. J. McKenzie, of Stratford. Mr. M. Knox, chairman of the School Committee, Hi a brief speech, expressed thanks to all wto had helped to make the picnic such a success. During the afternoon, the Rev.
