THE ASSOCIATION’S GAME. < rno rrrst annual meeting or trie Hawera Association Football Club wits held on Monday evening, when the following officers were elected: —Patron, Mr. E. Dixon; president, Mr. F. W. Stevens; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. Nichol, W. Adams, H. Catton, J. Priestly, E. C. Hayton, J. G. Osborne; captain, Mr. L. McGirr; vice-captain, Mr. W. Brooks; committee, Messrs. G. E. Reed, A. Haseltine, E. A. Hurge, E. Mason, R. J. Tiddy; selection committee, Messrs. F. W. Stevens, Catton and W. Adams; secretary and treasurer, Mr. E. H. Piper; hon. auditor, Mr. G. Maboner.
Says the Patea Press:—Now is the time for the local men to get busy and decide whether they will join the Taranaki Union or continue as they are. if tney leave their decision any later they will find that the Taranaki Union have macle all arrangements for their teaims and will decline to admit any more Clubs.
