Fines and rifles are being slowly deposited, but the distant sections are not making concerted efforts to return their rifles. The recalcitrant village of Kunstan has been destroyed. The Mahsud situation has not improved and numerous cases of sniping and attacks on picquets and convoys are reported. On February 28 a repairing party of 230 Punjaubs was ambushed and eight were killed and three wounded.—Reuter.
