MEAT CHEAPER.
REDUCTION IN NEW PLYMOUTH. LOWER PRICES AT HAWERA. Meat will be cheaper in the butchers’ shops in New Plymouth to-day. At a meeting of master butchers last night it was decided to reduce the prices from one penny to twopence a pound all round as from to-day, but the detailed prices were not announced. At Hawera yesterday the prices of beef were reduced Id and 2d per pound, mutton Id and 2d pound, pork 3d, and 3d per pound.
