Cable Assn. [At the general elections Sir A. Griffith-Boscawen, who is a Coalition Unionist, held the seat against a Labor opponent by a margin of over 3009 votes. For a considerable time Sir Arthur has been Secretary to the Board of Agriculture, and only last month he was appointed Minister for Agriculture in succession to Lord Lee, who has gone to the Admiralty. Sir Arthur, who is 55, has been a member of the House of Commons since 1892, representing the Tonbridge Division before he sat for Dudley. He acted as private secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer for five years.]
